Pursuing the goal to diversify it’s portfolio into Sugar & Allied, and  Chemical Industry, Colony Group plans to set up a new distillery next to the existing sugar manufacturing plant located at Mian Chanu. The proposed plant will have the capacity of 125,000 Liters/Day (100 Metric Tons/Day) of ENA or ENA Anhydrous Grade Ethanol.

Colony Group acquired another sugar mill in Mian Chanu from Punjab Sugar Mills Ltd, in November 2007. The sugar-cane crushing capacity of the said plant is 4,500 Metric Tons/Day.

CSM has been registered with ISO 9001:2000; an International Organization for Standardization that certifies consistency in business processes. It not only ensures quality in the final products, but also corroborate standardization at all stages of manufacturing. ISO 9001:2000 also requires involvement of senior management, which confirms quality compliance, and its adherence in the company policy.

Presently, CSM Phalia is operating a distillation facility with a rated capacity of 125,000 Liters/Day (100 Metric Ton/Day) or an annual production capacity of 41.875 million Liters (33,500 Metric Tons) of super Fine Grade Ethanol.

Colony Sugar Mills Limited (Phalia) was acquired on 9 May 2006. Its assets include a sugar manufacturing plant with complete back end equipment. The plant has a crushing capacity of 7,500 Metric Tons per day. The premise of the mill, spanning 137 acres, is fully furnished with administration and operation offices, a housing colony for resident employees, and guesthouses for visitors.
