Varioline Intercool Pakistan (Private) Limited was incorporated as private limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 on September 14, 1995 in pursuant to a joint venture agreement between M/s Sanden Intercool (Thailand) Public Company Limited and Varioline Intercool Pakistan (Pvt) Limited. Initially the principal activities were to Assemble, Process and Repair Visi Coolers, Chest Coolers, Deep Freezers and Ice Cream Freezers Respectively.
Factory and Registered office of the company is located at 3-KM, Kahna Kacha Road, Kahna Lahore.

Products
At the time of beginning, Varioline Intercool used to Import Visi coolers of different capacity in the form of CBU (Complete Built Up) and SKD form (Semi Knocked Down) from their Principal SIC at Thailand. Gradually it switched over to Import raw material and assemble vide range of Visi Coolers, Chest Coolers, Deep Freezers, Ice Cream Freezers and now almost 100% products are being manufactured on latest State of Art Technology. Varioline Intercool can rightly claim to be pioneer in producing CFC Free and approved models of Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola International.

Company started its business with supply to Pepsi Cola International and Coca Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited. But now Varioline Intercool has been recognized itself as major cooling equipment supplier to Nestle Pakistan Limited, CDL Foods Limited, Murree Brewery Pakistan, Pakistan Mineral Water Bottling Co, Cadbury Chocolates, Unilever Pakistan, Shandy Cola, Malee Juices, Gourmet Bakers & Confectioners, Total Parco Shops, SUBWAY, Makro-Habib Pakistan Limited, Hye Worth and Ice Cream manufacturers like Pearl, Donee, Laika and many other leading restaurants like Shezan International, Shapes Health Studio, Chicken Cottage,Salt n Pepper and International Coffe Shops like Gloria Jeans, Coffe Tea & Company & Jemin Java.
Competitors
Haier and Caravell are major competitors in Visi coolers. Caravell is marketing Visi coolers in Domestic Market where as Haier is also active to supply Visi Coolers to Shezan International and Tetrapak Limited.
Waves, PEL, and Dawlence are its major competitor in field of Chest Coolers and Deep Freezers. Waves used to supply Deep Freezers to Pepsi Cola and its Bottlers. But now Varioline Intercool is the first and only choice of Coca Cola Beverages, Pepsi Cola International, Unilever Pakistan, Total Parco, Cadbury and Nestle Pakistan Limited for cooling equipments of all models, sizes and capacities.
Market Figures
Varioline Intercool is supplying about 50,000 Visi Coolers and Chest Coolers to its Valuable Clients. Waves are supplying approximately 6,000 Deep Freezers to Beverages Industry of Pakistan and about 45,000 Deep Freezers to domestic consumer market. About 7,000 Coolers and Freezers are being supplied by PEL, Caravell & Dawlence in local market.
Areas Of Opportunity
Varioline Intercool has made arrangements for production of Ice Cream Freezers to cater the local market and has a plan to manufacture 5000 # in near future and is aggressively working to develop Verrtical Freezers to cater huge market of Beef & Mutton etc.
Client Dealing
Coca Cola Beverages, Pepsi Cola International, Nestle Pakistan, Unilever Pakistan, Cadbury, Makro-Habib Pakistan Limited, Gourmet Bakers & Confectioners and CDL Foods have a system of centralized purchasing and manage to deliver these equipment to their Plants, Regional offices and Sales Depots located at different stations.
In Pepsi Cola system, Cooler is purchased by Pepsi Cola International for delivery to its bottlers and the same quantity of equipment is also purchased by each bottlers.
In all these cases, delivery of equipment to final consumer is responsibility of these companies.
Product Handling By Consumers
All Varioline Intercool clients purchase these equipments on Cash & Credit basis and they have their own rules and regulations which differ from client to client for distributing these coolers to consumers. Despite some elegant stores, overall handling of equipment by consumers where as they treat it as gifted and are roughly used in very bad working conditions having dust, direct light and congested space.
Brochure containing Operating instructions is supplied with each unit but actual consumer seldom bothers to act upon these instructions.
Complaint By Client
Varioline Intercool provides warranty of one year for major parts like Compressor, Thermostate and Fan Motors of equipments. We have 1% to 3% complaints of these parts. Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola Plants have their own Marketing Service Staff who launch complaints of these items. On receiving complaints directly from Client in writing and arrange to replace the faulty parts within 24 hours.
Management View Of Providing After Sales Service
Management of the company seeks to achieve Zero Level of production complaints in near future by upgrading our production line with latest machines & through aggressive inspection at floor level. Top priority is given to all complaints received from any of our client.
Establishing Service Centers
Varioline has provided After Sale Service at all plants of Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola through a very special arrangements. Well trained equipped technicians have been appointed at all plants that look after all complaints from these valueable clients. They are on Varioline’s payroll and are monitored by the concerned staff of that client. Their performance is received in shape of “Monthly Progress Report”. Management of the company and client is fully satisfied with this current set up of After Sale Service.
